As NaNo fast approaches, it's time to fill your recipe box with quick easy meals that will trick your family into believing you spent time preparing dinner. Here is one of my famiy's favs. It's sooo good, but the best part is you can dump everything in the crockpot at lunch time and it's ready for dinner!
Ingredients:
1 (19 oz.) bag frozen tortellini
1 lb. ground mild Italian sausage
1 small bag fresh baby spinach
2 cans Italian style diced tomatoes
2 cans chicken broth.
1 8 oz. block cream cheese
Brown sausage and cut cream cheese into cubes. Dump all ingredients into a 6 quart slow cooker. Cook on low for 5 hours, stiring a few times while cooking.
The cream cheese melts into the tomatos and broth to make the most heavenly sauce. The seasonings in the sausage and Italian style tomatoes make it so flavorful! Give it a try and let me know what you think.
(I got this receipe from a friend who found it on pinterest a few years ago. I don't know where the original came from.)
