WRITER
Writing novels has been my favorite hobby for most of my life. I felt God's call to write stories to serve Him when I was in my early 20's but it took me too many years to agree with Him. After earning a degree in communication, I worked as a journalist for several years before finally turning my focus to writing fiction professionally. I currently write inspirational contemporary romance, though some of my hobby writing has been historical fiction. I've been blessed to win three national awards, the Genesis, the First Impressions and the Frasier for my fiction. I also write devotionals. Saying "yes" to God can be scary, but His Word says "...He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Phil. 1:6. Jesus taught through stories. God shared his message through a book. I'm so humbled to be called into the "family business". I'm proof that He can use anybody. What is His calling for you?

TEACHER
I work as a K-12 art teacher at a private Christian school. I also serve on the faculty at the International Summer School of Fine Arts where I teach creative writing to junior high and high school students from across the United States and Canada. I also teach writing workshops in my community. I LOVE teaching! And I have the best students!

SPEAKER
I have a heart for women and love having the opportunity to speak and encourage women with the word of God. I volunteer at my church and district to plan women's ministry events. I also love being involved in children, and youth ministries. I have enjoyed speaking at teen's events, as well. My background in performing arts ranges from writing plays and dramas to acting and performing to directing. I believe drama is another way to follow Jesus' example of teaching through story.

I've lived in the Midwest all my life. I currently reside in South Dakota with my husband and three daughters. In addition to writing, I enjoy arts and crafts, reading, baking, cake decorating and attempting to master the pottery wheel.
